This master-planned community is located halfway between booming Jacksonville to the north, and historic St. Augustine to the south. Atlantic Coast beaches are minutes east of Nocatee, while Interstate 95 is minutes west. It’s one of the country’s perennial top-10 selling communities, and if you’ve just discovered Nocatee, you might not know another huge perk of its location is the outdoor recreational opportunities right down your street.

It’s true — soaking up the fresh air and Florida sunshine are only two activities that Nocatee residents can enjoy right at home. Follow us and we’ll show you how to indulge your inner outdoor explorer at Nocatee.

Nocatee location is key

We at ICI Homes are proud to be among Nocatee’s select builders, and we’re active in many of its most popular neighborhoods. If you’re building your new custom Florida home with us in the Crosswater community neighborhoods of Liberty Cove, Heritage Trace, and Anthem Ridge, you’ll have top-shelf outdoor recreational options almost literally at your back door.

Eyeing an ICI home at Timberland Ridge? Or at the Colony and Settlement neighborhoods in the Twenty Mile community? We’ve got you covered there too. Regardless of where you build one of our new custom Florida homes, there are peaceful, invigorating activities waiting whenever you’re ready to get moving and out of the house.

Let’s take a peek.

Waterways and trails to explore

Nocatee is sited near some of northeast Florida’s most scenic natural preserves. The Crosswater community contains numerous wide, wonderful sidewalks, but the nearby Nocatee Landing is where you can head for non-motorized fun on the water.

Load up your canoe, kayak or paddleboard. Exit Crosswater onto Crosswater Parkway and head north for one mile. Turn right onto Nocatee Landing Trail and follow it to Nocatee Landing. There you’ll find parking, restrooms and a beautiful overlook of the Tolomato River (part of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway). Put in your personal watercraft and enjoy exploring the river, its marshes and coves.

Nocatee Landing also serves as the southern trailhead of the 4.2-mile hiking trail in the Nocatee Preserve — a 2,400-acre natural resource that forms Nocatee’s eastern border along a 3.5-mile stretch of the Tolomato.

If you’re a Timberland Ridge resident, or a resident of the Colony or Settlement neighborhoods in the Twenty Mile community, all you have to do is lace up your sneakers or rollerblades, or grab the bicycle, skateboard or Junior’s fitness stroller.

The many sidewalks in your neck of the Nocatee woods connect to the 6.4-mile Osprey Trail along Valley Ridge Boulevard — one of four marked trails that form Nocatee’s Greenway Trail system.
