May 8, 2025If it’s springtime, it’s Parade of Homes time, and that’s what happened when the Northeast Florida Builders Association recently hosted its annual springtime Parade. Nocatee — the master-planned community south of Jacksonville and north of historic St. Augustine — featured prominently, as always. Long one of the nation’s top-selling communities, Nocatee offered no less than 13 model homes from multiple preferred builders and ICI Homes contributed three models. We’re especially calling attention to our Santa Cruz model home in the Seabrook Village II neighborhood. It’s one of Nocatee’s final new neighborhoods — after two decades, this amazing master-planned community is nearing closeout! — and Seabrook Village II is a special place. You’re in the right spot if you’re hunting your new custom Florida home in Nocatee. ICI Homes is a longtime preferred builder here and aside from Seabrook Village II, we’re also active in Nocatee’s West End at Town Center, Coral Ridge and Reflections neighborhoods (visit us at those locations too). But, if you missed this year’s NEFBA spring parade, no worries! Here’s more about our Santa Cruz model in Seabrook Village II. The details Our two-level Santa Cruz floor plan offers 2,720 square feet with four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and a two-vehicle garage. Choose from three elevations (a home’s exterior design and appearance) with two elevations — the Coastal and West Indies — offering roomy front porches on both levels of the home. Like all ICI Homes floor plans, the Santa Cruz is endlessly versatile thanks to our constant dedication to customization. All our homes contain bonus space that can be customized (configured as a home office in the Seabrook Village II model) plus a covered lanai for outdoor living inspiration. Other highlights of the Santa Cruz model home at Seabrook Village II: As mentioned, a home office tucked off the entrance corridor in a tranquil part of the first floor. A discrete, jewel-box powder room nearby. A lighted closet under the stairs that’s almost another small room, storage-wise. A soaring living, dining and kitchen space with plentiful windows for brightness and tantalizing peeks at the outdoor living space. In the kitchen, a multi-function island serves as a prep, serving and casual dining stage. Don’t miss the lighted upper glass cabinets and blue tile statement backsplash. Outside, find a summer kitchen, fire pit, and multi-tiered dining and lounging spaces. The first-level owner’s suite overlooks the outdoor living space and has plenty of room for seating and relaxing. Its bathroom features an enormous wet-room shower and walk-in closet outfitted with a built-in chest and wall mirror. At the back of the walk-in closet, a door opens into the laundry room with its double-stack washer and dryer, a roomy sink and plenty of cabinetry for extra pantry supplies. Head upstairs to find another living space with seating. A corridor leads to three bedrooms and a bathroom while a door off the living area leads to the second-floor porch. March 19, 2025One of Florida’s top attributes is its wealth of outdoor recreational offerings and the tens of thousands of stunning acreage on which to enjoy them. If you’re considering buying or building a new custom Florida home at Nocatee, gorgeous surroundings and outdoor recreation are two cornerstones of this longstanding, top-selling master-planned community in Ponte Vedra. Its resident amenities are legendary and rightfully so. But Nocatee also is home to the Nocatee Preserve, an outdoorsy jewel that totals 2,400 acres. It’s nestled between Nocatee’s eastern boundary and the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway — basically in your back yard if you own a new custom Florida home in a Nocatee neighborhood where ICI Homes is a preferred builder. Here’s how to explore the Nocatee Preserve The particulars The Nocatee Preserve is an elongated tract that runs from Davis Park to the north, south to Nocatee Landing, forming an undeveloped barrier between Nocatee and the Tolomato River (which doubles as the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway). It was donated to St. Johns County by Nocatee’s developer, the PARC Group, in 2006. Its unpaved trails attract hikers, mountain bikers, runners, walkers and equestrians, but there’s plenty of room for all to roam some of northeast Florida’s protected natural beauty. The Nocatee Preserve trailhead and main entrance is located at 501 Davis Park Road, at the southern end of Davis Park, another St. Johns County facility. Here, trail users will find parking for vehicles and horse trailers, plus restrooms. Exploring the Nocatee Preserve Its terrain showcases both uplands and wetlands, offering pristine vistas of coastal forests and grasslands, with water never far away. The wide main trail runs for 3.5 miles to the Nocatee Landing Trail, which hooks east to Nocatee Landing, a conservation area that offers non-motorized personal watercraft access to the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. The Nocatee Preserve is splendid for bird watching and wildlife viewing. You’ll discover all sorts of critters — birds, snakes, alligators, otters, crabs and many others — but enjoy them with a safety-first approach while keeping your distance. The Bike Skills Area offers mountain bikers an opportunity to show their stuff. From the trailhead, it’s located at the one-mile marker of the Nocatee Preserve’s main trail. Several trails fork off from there and are embedded with wooden tracks that climb, curve and twist in varying elevations and degrees of difficulty along the way. These features challenge a cyclist’s handling and riding skills, and are geared to various skill levels. Some helpful tips We mentioned one above — give Nocatee Preserve wildlife a wide berth. Another tip is to dress for outdoor pursuits with sturdy hiking boots or running shoes, and a third  is to carry water, sunscreen and bug repellent. A shady hat and/or bike helmet is always a good idea! Combine the Sunshine State’s temperate year-round climate with a passion for outdoor exploits, and you’ll be right at home in your search for a new custom Florida home.
