Ready to soak up some summer fun near one of the top-selling master-planned communities in the U.S.?
We at ICI Homes thought so! We’re a preferred builder at Nocatee, located in Ponte Vedra, just south of booming Jacksonville and just north of historic St. Augustine, and we can attest that Nocatee residents enjoy nonstop seasonal fun year-round.
But, since summer is perfect for indulging in all sorts of watery, active and yummy activities, here’s a quick look at summer events and festivals around Nocatee and its hometown of Ponte Vedra.
Why Nocatee rocks
This top-10 selling community boasts many unique attributes. It’s only minutes east of Interstate 95 and metro Jacksonville, and minutes west of Ponte Vedra’s Atlantic beaches. Its neighborhood and community hub is geared around unparalleled resident amenities.
Nocatee’s Town Center is the anchor for dining, shopping and entertainment, but residents also can indulge in pocket parks, green spaces, swimming pools, dog parks and playgrounds in their own Nocatee neighborhoods.
Summer calendar staples
Nocatee’s recurring and summer-special events and festivals usually take place near Town Center. Many take place at the community’s two waterparks, fun restaurants and an expansive lawn called Nocatee Station Field. Below are some monthly examples:
June 30 — Food Truck Friday at Nocatee Station Field
July 1 — Independence Day Golf Cart Parade (a tradition since 2018)
July 8 — Sounds of Summer: Silent Disco (Adult Pool at Splash Waterpark)
July 15 — Nocatee Farmers Market: Island Experience (Nocatee Station Field)
Nocatee residents enjoy a hopping event calendar all year, but there’s something extra about savoring summer events. Expect family movie nights, Family Bingo, Beer and Bingo (for adults), Farmers Markets and Unwined Wednesdays.
The Saturday Farmers Markets (from 10 a.m., until 1 p.m.) frequently have a theme. In May, it was a BMX extreme bicycle performance.
Off-campus summer fun
As mentioned, Nocatee residents are only 15 minutes and 6.6 miles from Ponte Vedra’s closest beach park — Mickler Beach. Music enthusiasts can check out the monthly concerts at the nearby Ponte Vedra Concert Hall.
Don’t forget fun day trips to historic St. Augustine, and to Jacksonville, where Nocatee residents can cheer the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp — the Miami Marlins’ Triple-A Minor League Baseball affiliate.
